The lessons include beginning, push offs, stroking, for- ward and backward cross-cuts, turns, edges, etc. Once most of these are mastered the student should have better balance and more co-ordination in general skating. For hockey skaters there will be a Power Skating Course. This is for developing speed and. power, includ- ing sections from the Course described above. It con- tains seven basic levels, again working up from non-— skaters. This gets skaters doing the proper and easier turns, etc., automatically - not having to concentrate on their feet. The Raffle for the two clowns, donated by Eve Thirlwell, was very successful and the Artificial Ice Fund was increased by $294.00 as a result.
