Attendance Contest: SERVICE FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY January is the month in which we pray for the unity of the Christian church. On January 29th an ecumenical service was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Mission. The Rev. Sean McAllister kindly offered the church this year for the service. The Rev. Bill Dyer, United Minister from Fort Nelson conducted the service and made the announcements. Miss Judy Mitchell organized the choir- and played the guitar... The Rev. Peter B. Nissen preached the sermon. The theme of the sermon was based on the Holy Gospel for the day. Jesus said: "I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me." It was stressed that we must live a life of prayer and work close to Jesus. If we do this then we will be- come truely wise and mature in Christ. Our Lord will be able to show us new and better ways towards the union of the Christian church. we Rita’s s. : Fabric Store: 291 Carmacks Street Accessories For Sewing STORE HOURS TUESDAY 6PM. - OPM.
