second with 278 and Patrolman Steele of

In the Individual Police of B. C. Cham-
pionship (.38 N.M.C.) the Provincial Police
took first, second and third positions.

N.M.C.) Harvey O’Brien’s 284 nosed out
J. E. Steele’s 277.

In the Individual Open .22 N.M.C.,
O’Brien, Trones and Corpl. Jack Henry
tied for first place with 280 each. O’Brien
had the best rapid (97) giving him first
place. Trones took second place (93 rapid)
and Henry filled in the third slot with his
92 rapid.

Range, Victoria on June 30th when
he again led the field to maintain

In this test of marksmanship
Sergt. Young equalled his 1941
score with 96 slow, 97 timed and
96 rapid for a total of 289. Corpl.
Jack Henry of Duncan, another of
the force’s leading sixgun experis
took second place with 276 and
Walter Bailey from “C” Division
was third with 273.

Those who failed to place in the
first three positions made strong
attempts to offer competition to the
leaders, especially young “Cliff”
Dryden of Victoria district whose
262 did him great credit.
