Last weeks perfor- mance on Thursday January 15 was not an exception from the quality that regular listen- ers have come to expect from this talented group of Par tin, cx George resi- dents. Even - our own Rob »@ VanAdrichem 7 is a part of this | diverse group. The program # consisted of a j series of *>Baroque pieces and a short piece written by the principal violin- ol IS A PART OF YOUR LIFE! Apply ist. Gordon Lucas, the witty concertmaster and principal violinist has indeed created a short symphony. In its entire- ty the piece was only 2 and a half minutes long. This dra- matic piece indeed demon- strates the talent within the PGSO but also the dedication that these individuals have towards promoting the arts in our area. The program not only fea- tured music but included an educational portion as well. Gordon Lucas instructed the audience on how to become better listeners and how to pick out the different parts of a symphony, helping the audience enjoy the music to its fullest. And many, many more than we can list here! the experience for all listen- ers, experienced or not. The program featured two soloists, Nil Rommel on bas- soon and Heather Campell on the flute.
