Now we want to go Kitamaat, then the president said “we'll wait, and start on Monday’. Before we reach Monday, a letter came from our brother Timo- thy Buxton, he was in China Hat, and call us down there, telling us all the souls were die in sin, the old devil gets oyer them, The way seems to open for us to go China Hat. Now we start on 2srd,of Noy. We leave our place about 2 miles, wasa great wind trom the South, We nearly all lost, we go back Hart- ley Bay. Our president give us cup of tea, and he tell all the League that they will pray more and more to ask God that he will open the way, the next morning come, and_we start again no wind but little rain, j About five miles from our place, we Saw the steamer “Willapa” eame from the North. We are on our way to go down. We want to go with that boat, but can’t help it, “Willapa” went the other way where the mines. About one hour she came on the right way behind us. All of us wait the steamer, we take one canoe an goon the steamer line, we put up a flag onthe pole, and soon as we put up our red and white and blue flag the steamer wis whistle; than lord for that. The steamer where weare. We tell the capt im we going China Hat, purser wants $30. for three cance and sixteen people. Weask the purser to help us,we told him we go- ing to visit our brothers at China Hat. And soon the sailors see our dram and sing their own song using dram, The Steamer was running 10 miles, the Epworth League have no money at all, yet we not think we will mcet some steamboat so we did not collect money before we start. The eaptain went int the purser’s office, they talk together the purser came out, and said “alright boys charge 320”, thank the Lord for that, Well we are very happy about our hro- ther Arthur Robinson, he lends I eague $20 we give that. We leave China Hat 6 th. day of Dee. raining all the day till we got to cur camp wet all through, no one save from wet. Next day westartagain and take another eamp. with raining all the time, we got help in our Kitamaat friend's house-camp, if it is not a honse-camp there, we surely all sick or dié for cold, safe in hishouse, our Kitamaat friend s name was Bob. We take next campin Fisherman Cove. Nice weather, next morning we leave Fisherman Cove. We vere very happy. Pefore we reach the Hartley Bay, we take our dinner af the last point towards our place, the presi- dent he ask the blessing, as soon we open our eyes one of the president’s saw the deer swimming in the water, we take one canoe and go after and kill it, we stay one hour and cook the deer meat. We got homé on the 9th. day of December. Soon as we came in our home from China Hat we start working we building new road for our church. And we have good time all this winter, i
