Whatever the pressures are, including work outside of school and other obligations, here are five tips to help you stay calm, cool and collective. Don’t underestimate the value of sleep. Getting a good night’s sleep is essential to cognitive function, maintaining attentiveness and it also bol- sters memory. Getting seven to nine hours of sleep will also allow your cells to produce more protein which are building blocks in repairing dam- aged tissue and adequate sleep is important in reducing stress levels. Set clear goals for what you want to achieve. Taking a bit of time to write out your goals for what you have to, and what you want to achieve within a certain timeframe can be a productive and stimu- lus approach in helping to conquer those objectives. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Ifyou are unclear about something in your classes, speak up on forever hold your peace. Now is not the time to be hesitant or bashful. Inquire with other students, approach or TA or professor and ask those questions before you do not havelachance to. Eat breakfast. It has become common for many to skip breakfast in order to juggle all the tasks on the go. If you have a plan and ways to effectively manage and allot the proper time that is needed to meetdeadlines, you will accomplish those things a lot more smoothly and with confidence than feeling anxious and scattered.
