It can be seen from the above exhibit that up to approximately 420,000 tons of freight could be transported by tug/barge from Vancouver to Stewart, by tractor-trailer from Stewart to Watson Lake and then via the Alaska Highway to the various pipeline construction sites. 2.5.3 Community Supply Requirements The proposed routing will also provide a regular scheduled northbound tug and barge service to Stewart. The northbound barge trip will be transporting on its backhaul trip fuel and general freight for the Cassiar mine. It will also be able to provide the necessary supply requirements of Stewart. This
