List Public Enemies Toronto Gunman Heads Roll of Eight “Most-Wanted” Canadian Badmen THE R.C.M.P. put Donald (Mickey) McDonald, Toronto gun- man, at the head of a crime roll of their eight “most-wanted” law- breakers. The 44-year-old former ‘Toronto salesman, believed to have fled to the United States after breaking out of Kingston penitentiary in 1947, tops a list of men wanted for murder, forgery, narcotics charges, bank rob- bery, swindling and criminal insanity. The list, Canada’s first announced roll of public enemies, was prepared by the R.C.M.P. at the request of newspaper men. It gives the wanted men in the chronological order of their alleged offenses. Besides McDonald — wanted for bank robbery in Windsor as well as the prison break—the criminals are given as: Walter Pavlukoff, 38, Vancouver laborer, wanted for the killing of bank manager Sidney Petrie in a NARCOTICS — TREASON Michel Sisco, alias Antoine D’ Agostino. Wanted on narcotics charges. holdup at a Vancouver branch of the Canadian Bank of Commerce, August 25, 1947; Hugh Kennedy, alias McIntosh, 34, of Winnipeg and Toronto, wanted by Toronto police for escaping custody while on the way to Kingston peni- tentiary November 27, 1948, to serve eight years for forgery; Donald Winslow. Henderson, 35, university graduate and bush-cutting contractor of Calgary, wanted by Cal- gary police for the murder of Yvonne Levesque August 11, 1949; Michael Sisco, alias Antoine D’Agostino, 44, restaurant owner in Montreal, wanted on narcotics charges since February 1, 1950. A native of France, he was convicted at Touloue in 1948 for treason and sentenced to death in absentia; John Mallock, 36, Winnipeg sales- man, wanted in Vancouver for selling narcotics; ~ Sentenced to death in France in absentia on treason charges. Both failed to appear for trial in January, 1951; William Patrick Ryan, 62, of Eng- land and New Zealand, described as an international swindler. He is wanted by Vancouver and Toronto police for horserace betting swindles. He is accused of fraudulently obtain- ing $5,000 at Toronto last April 4 and $10,500 at Vancouver last October 11; The man at the head of the list— McDonald—cut a wide crime swath through eastern Canada a few years ago with two companions, Nick Minnelli and Ulysses Lauzon.
