November 30, 1999 Sports & Clubs ‘s Over The Edge Page 7 UNBC boys off to Vanderhoof by AJ Delisle A skeleton crew of UNBC hockey players set off to Vanderhoof this past weekend to represent the university in a hockey tournament. Teams from all over B.C. will be in Vanderhoof for this first tournament of the year. The 14 player UNBC roster was formed by combining players from all three of the Universities hockey teams. The majority of players, (6) were repre- sented by the Wolfpack (Bartrim, Donald, Johnson, Jordon and Tremblay). The Grey Wolves also contributed four of their best with Jaques, Keziju, Stevenson and Yamanaka. Not to be left out the Junior Varsity team added Dawson, Drummond and Kendmaga to the squad. The 14 man team was rounded out be Ben Faugere who is anxiously awaiting a spot on one of the UNBC rosters. The contingent of boys played four games over the weekend. Fort St. Delisle, James and Vanderhoof sent their best against our boys on Saturday. Followed by teams from Quesnel and Williams Lake on Sunday. The trip was funded 100% by the players. All of whom provided their own transportation to and from Vanderhoof. Thanks to those few fans that managed to make the trip to support our squad, and also to Darren Carpenter who brought the tournament to the attention of us all.
