HONOURABLE GORDON S. WISMER
Attorney-General

Born in Sutton, Ontario, 1886. Moved West
with his parents in early boyhood. Came to Van-
couver and studied law with the firm of J. A.
Russell. Called to the bar in 1915; and after
passing was with the firm of Russell and Russell.
for several years. Started in partnership with G.
G. McGeer K.C. in 1921. Elected to the B. C.
Legislature for the first time in 1933 as one of
the two Gordons for Vancouver Centre. Was
re-elected in 1937 and shortly after the Provin-
cial election made Attorney-General. In that
position is the head of law enforcement in British
Columbia.
