As of December ist should you call our office while neo policeman is on duty, you will receive. a recording which will advise you that if your call is URGENT to call the operator and ask far ZENITH Soooo. This will put you in touch with the R.C.M.P. Telecommunication Centre in Whitehorse which is manned 24 hours a day by trained police dispatchers and they in turn will dispatch your camplaint to a policeman. This procedure while some— what awkward at first has many advantages to bath the public and the police, the mast signi ficant being that your call will be answered 24 hours a day and you will always be able ta get through. While the call is in fact a long distance call there is na charge to the caller so it won’ t shaw up on your phone bill as the cost is paid by the R.C.M.P. On another topic which comes up every Christmas Season, this is toa advise you that we will alsa be starting cur Christmas Counter Attack Program against Drinking Drivers, on December 1st and will cantinue on through the New Year. We will be actively invelved with this Program and will be setting up random road checks thr oughout the season checking for the drinking driver. As I stated earlier on this year it is YOU that makes the choice to drink and drive so if you are stopped and found ta be impaired don’t expect a break from us as it was YOU and only YOU that made the choice toa take the chance. That is what Tim's mother did, and ta her amazement Tim bursb into tears and blurted out that he thought they did net love him anymore because they spent sa much time with his younger, more cutgoing sister. Fram that day on, Tim’s parents made a point of spending a little time just with him every day, and including him in activi- ties with his sister. Although we can’t say for sure that they lived "happily ever after", it made a very big differance in haw they all felt about each other.
