PENNINGTON, B.A. Some of the members of the Senior Division staged a play on the evening of December, the twenty-third, in the Assembly Hall of the School. Several junior parts were taken by pupils from the Intermediate Division. The play consisted of nine scenes which were arranged from Charles Dickens’ well-known “Christmas Carol” together with a home-made Prologue. The costumes were prepared by Miss Richards, who was temporarily in charge of the Manufacturing Department, assisted by some of the senior girls. The scenery was made by Mr. George Williams. Leonard Wesley, as Scrooge’s nephew, Cyril Mahone as Scrooge and Peter Good as Marley’s Ghost acted their parts especially well and those present congratulated all the players on the measure of success they attained.
