The Reverend Fred Beacham ASTROLOGY continued from page 10 -All the Pisceans soft, vam, feminine needs, urges, wants and desires . stand out with the cool Scorpion's secretive nature. The Scorpio will delight in keeping the Piscean guessing, .making them insecure which the Piscean detests. The Piscean will be the last to know what the Scorpion's goingito do next but will be the first to bear the brunt of their sarcasm. PISCES WITH SAGITTARIUS - indicates "desire", The Piscean is capti-=- vated by the Sapittarians butter-— fly tactics, optimism and smile. The Piscean wants desperately to go where the Sagittarian goes,. and write their name on the Sagittarians head so that: ethers know that they are the Pisceans property. The Sagittarians enthusiasm towards flirtation maddens the Piscean, but if the Piscean can keep jealousy at a minimal level, the Sagittarian can be wonderful, whirlwind affair material. PISCES WIT! CAPRICORN - indicates "affection". The Capricorn individ-— ual is a good, solid, reliable, realistic port for the emotional storms of the Piscean. The Piscean knoys that they can run to the Cap- ricornean with their problems and see them solved swiftly. The Piscean in turn brings poetry, music and mystery into the Capricorneans life and bolster their ego. PISCES WIT AQUARIUS — indicates. "boredom", The Piscean needs deep _ sympathetic contact. The Aquarian _ offers the mental stimulation that leaves the Piscean always hungry — for more. More substance, more affection, more everything. If the Aquarian relates to the Piscean ‘at - all, its as one of the Aquarians “projects. The Piscean finds the Aquarians company like trying to diet by eating nothing: but triangles. PISCES WITIl PISCES - indicates “attraction. A mutual interdepend- ence society, the two of you are so in tune with each other that you almost vibrate in union. This tends to be good E.S.P. connections. This is a friendship to be cultivated because it will last a life-time. I'm 6'6" tall and every time I go to the local bar I bang my head soundly on- the newly constructed roof. I try to remember but as the evening progresses I bang my head time and time again. I'm not only developing tremendous headaches, I'm starting to look like "Herman Munster". Do you have a solution for this problem? — : ; "Local Sore-Head" Dear Sore-Head: This is certainly a "heady" pro- blem. Perhaps you could wear your ~ chard hat to the bar. After buying several rounds for the house I'm sure ‘your problem will solve itself. Gerta. LIP Project Wrap-up An organization like the Peace River- Alaska Highway Tourist Assocation has to have facts. We are the primary source for people wanting to find out all about Region ‘H’, the northern third of British Columbia. For that reason, we had a Local Initiative Program (LIP) grant during the summer so that we could employ people to gather facts. Six months, 111 man- weeks and $18,900 later, we are ready to report on what we found out, though some figures are still being compiled. Our single most useful set of statistics deal with the accomodation situation - in the north. Prior to our project, there was no person or agency which had any idea at all about the number or kind of units available. Well, as of our survey date, we found that Region ‘H’ had 1959 units, with nearly 1,000 of them in Dawson Creek or Fort St. John, 350 in Fort Nelson and the rest spread out : over the whole area. In conjunction with the study of hotel rooms, we also obrained a traffic count : so that we could get an idea of whether the amount of accomodation bore any relation to the visitors to our area. For at least a few months last autumn, it certainly didn’t. We were the first public body to comment on the. accomodation crisis in the north. It was us who tipped off the media in fact.’ Since our report came out, several -motels have announced extensions and two hotel developments have _ been - announced for Fort St. John. We shall . be keeping our figures up to date as these developments come to fruition. For a region which is heavy on the wilderness experience and related activ- ities, another set of facts which we should have available is that relating to hiking trips and canoe routes. Thanks to the co-operation which local _resi- dents have given our LIP project we now have files on both of these. There _ are 37 places for canoes detailed, with write-ups on the tricky ones and a further 16 hiking trails, from all over the region. We also have got together inventories of special events and special attractions, tourist resorts and of. course the region’s Guides and Outfitters. The information we have collected is freely available to members or any CASSTAR COURIER MARCH! 1978 215 The Great North The Region ‘H’ book package consists of a new book produced by Tourism British Col- umbia and for which the Peace River-Alaska Highway Tourist Association has exclusive distribution rights, It~is being sold with the famous mylti-value coin and the ever-pop- ular Pot 0’ Gold.
