WILLIAMS LAKE, £E.C. ee — ——————— HORSEFLY DISTRICT * The Horsefly country is served by a road turning off the main Cariboo Road, about two and one-half miles north of the 150 Mile House. This road is good for auto traffic except in very wet weather, but is now under repair and will shortly be in good shape. The first stop is at Roses Lake, 13 miles from the 150 Mile House, then comes Miocene, 6 miles further, then Horsefly, 32 miles. Travellers wishing to reach Quesnel Lake from this route can do so by taking teams for about 12 miles. This lake is pretty well described in other articles. Horsefly Lake, which is five miles distant from the townsite of Horsefly, is well noted for its fishing and hunting, and the tourist can be provided with boats at this point. A good road for cars continues to the upper Horsefly River, the road following the stream on grade all the way, and abounding in splendid scenery. The distance is 16 miles. Mr. Alex. Meiss, the hotel-keeper, will gladly give all information required as to this part of the district, and assist tourists in any way. SIXTEEN
