Heavy Metal Revival —

Blackston Gang and Bitter at the Overdrive Cabaret,
November 23

drunken" crowd enjoyed the
,~ower metal of the Blackston
Gang. The Blackston Gang is a
Canadian. band who has just
released a new CD called "Kiss
Reality Goodbye", and they
have also just finished a video,
which will be played on
Muchmusic. If you are a heavy
metal fan, you will probably
like the music of the Blackston
Gang.*

On Wednesday November 23,
the Blackston Gang and their
opening act, Bitter, played at the
Overdrive Cabaret. "Holy
Cow," is the only way to
describe the Blackston Gang.
These guys were so loud, so
powerful and so professional
sounding that it was amazing.
Even a non heavy metal fan
must admit that this band has
talent. One member of the
audience describes this band as
being "orgasmic" and she goes
on to say

Editors note: The inclusion of this review should in no
way be misconstrued as an attempt to revive the dead
and decomposing genre of "Heavy Metal.” In fact, we
are not even sure what Lady Willett was thinking.....

HELP WANTED

Small, biweekly student newspaper with a circulation of
3,000 copies has openings. Applicants should have the
following skills:able to read, play with glue sticks, string
together letters into mono- or poly-syllabic combinations
called words, scribble with a pencil (HB pencil
experience an asset). Wages are nil, but the satisfaction
is immense... apply in person in the newspaper office in
the winter garden on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:30.
