Susan is from Vancouver and has been skating for ten years. She has her Gold Figure Free Skate and Dance Certificate. Susan won the Canadian Novice Ladies Championship in 1973 and the Junior Ladies in 1974. She also won the B.C. Sections Championships, » Senior Ladies from 1973-1977, and The Western Canadian Championships Senior Ladies from 1974 - 1978. The F.S.C. is now operating ie Nena Peantk Bar. Tentative hours are: Weekdays 7-9 p.m. Saturday 1-4 p.m. 7-9 p.m. Sunday 1-4p.m. This is run on a volunteer basis with all proceeds going to the F.S.C. to pay for our ice time. Fred Cousins, Mel v Taylor, Mary lIsaaks, George Millar and Dick = ° Chambers attended the meeting. Several of the w members were out of town and unable to attend. = At this meeting the concern over students (with = permission from parents) smoking during recess and lunch hour was reviewed. The school has an area set aside for these students. Due to the ex- treme health hazard associated with cigarette smoking in an Asbestos town, the majority of the Council would like to see all smoking pro- hibited on school premises. The matter is to be further discussed with student council.« tt was requested by the Council that letters be sent to the District Superintendent and the Mine Manager regarding relocating the new Director of » {nstruction, Mr. Malcolm McMurray, in Cassiar.
