The first. thing I did after sitting down was bend over to pick up my case from the floor. While I was doing this I very professionaly rammed my nose in to the back of the seat ahead of me. I was sure I had broken it but it turned out that it was alright just stayed. sore all weekend. Our first stop was when our bus driver, Ted Howe stopped to check the tires, it was at this point that the boys flooded the road behind the bus, as they relieved themselves, of their daily liquids It was all very unfair to the girls who had to wait until the bus got to Watson. At Watson, Ted took the bus to fill it up while most of us waited at the Sport- sman where we bought candy and junk, Here Julie and some others went to the store and Julie got herself some runners. Our means of entertainment on the trip so far had been eating, _sleeping, and singing. Everybody would combine their voices and sing évery song they knew. We also had a star show where Dwanne and Sandy sang for us. They both put on a star perform- ance and we all gave them a big hand. The other occupation of sleep- ing was very interesting indeed. Its hard to believe and really surprising how innocent, Tim looks when he's sleeping. Scenery was beautiful and in- teresting for those who cared to look at it. We saw some horses, a moose, two cariboo, and Mrs. Olson's wolf turned out to be just another horse. Oh well can't say she didn't try. Lower Post was supposed to have our lunch ready but we ended up waiting just over an hour and a half for what turned out to be not worth the waiting. I made my lunch out of Mr. Olsons french fries. My order didn't come through. We safely made it to Summit without anyone barfing, and here, as usual it was a mad rush to the bathroom. Here they had supper all ready for us and so the service was much faster. We had a choice of hamburgers, soup or french fries. Dani decided to have soup. As she sat down at the table she started exclaiming about some funny squigglly things in her soup. I don't know what the matter was, maybe she got more squiggly things in her soup at home. As you would finish eating you would trail out to the bus. Here ,you would find everyone including yourself stumbling around because by now it was pitch black outside. and the bus lights were off. Finally we all got packed into the bus and started on our way. We rose the roof of the bus shouting the Cassiar Cheers and all the songs we could think of. Jokes were getting passed around and on the whole we were raising Kindameome. The bus driver fin- ally put in a tape as a hint for us to shut up and Mr. Olson announced that if we didn't want to spend the night in the snow- bank we were to settle down. About now it was really snowing and was getting hard to drive. Our seat changing system was really interesting. At each stop the ones who sat in the front would sit in the back, and those who sat in the back, sat in the front. There were three reasons for this. (1) the front was about 60 above (2) the back was about 60 below (3) and the ones who sat in the back had the ad- vantage of throwing around any of the luggage that falls on their heads. We began to get closer to Fort Nelson, our singing began again. We gave cheers for the Olsons, Mr. Handfield, the students and the bus driver. We even gave one for Fort Nelson but it turned out half boo's. Mr. Olson told us that there was to be no booing on our side so we gave them a chinese cheer. "Foo, Foo, Foo" 11 o'clock came and the long ride was over. We had made it to Fort Nelson. As we drove in to their school yard we were all singing "We're from Cassiar and we know it". At the school we were all given to our billets. I think everyone got good billets except Mr. & Mrs. Olson. Poor people. Jutta and I were billetted to- gether and we got some weird ones but they were nice and well, we lived through it. I guess Chris and James went to some real rich peoples place. James slept on a water bed. Too bad it didn't spring a leak. Chris fell in love with water beds and decided he wanted to buy himself one. I can just see Chris come floating out of his room. On the whole everyone got good billets. The first game on Saturday was boys volleyball. The net so loose that the ball could be played off it at all. But won all the first three games anyway. The scores were 15-7 first game, 15-3 second game and, the next game was real close with a score of 16-14 for Cassiar. They tightened the net up for the girls game as we lost the first three games. With scores of 8-15, 14-16 and 10-15. They played a 4th game just for fun and we won with a score of 15 to 5. By the fourth game Christ- en was mad and with first serve she rammed 11 points right off am was not we
