SCHOOL SPORTS DAY: |
Although the weather left such to be -

desired, the apoxts day held on June 11th

at the school was enjoyed hy all who |
attenied. A program of 39 events was run
off without delays end no serious casual
ties were reported. Considerable interest
was shown in the jump events ~ these being
new events this year, Ribbons wore pre=
santed to the contestants coming firat,
second and third. Points were awarded for
win, place ani show, and totelled at the.
end of the day, A trophy was given for
the best boy and girl athletes accordning
to the total points obtained,

Allan Edsersa amased 18 points to win
the boy*s eggregate trophy and Diane
Stewart eared the girl's trophy with 16
points. Welter Hanley was runner-up for
the boys and Jacqueline Turgeon placed so-=
