VCLUME 4-71 CASSIAR, B.C. APRIL 1971 Anvil Lake on the Dease Lake Road between Dease Lake and Cassiar, B.C. This road opens up an area of Northern British Columbia which is unsurpassed in scenic beauty and which has an interesting history dating back prior to the Klondike Goldrush. During World War II, supplies for construction of the Watson Lake Airbase and portions of the Alaska Highway crossed over these waters enroute from Wrangell, Alaska to Lower Post, B.C. via the Stikine River, Telegraph Creek and Dease Lake.
