SteJohn passes through the northeast part of
this township, sectione 1, 12, 1% and 24 adjoining
and form part of the main prairie settlement. ‘fhe
remainéer of the township is rolling country genera-
lly covered by a dense stand of timber, mich of which
has been fire killed. ‘Saskatoon creek rises in this
towmmship. Springs near the east outline provide the
settlers with an abundant supply of fresh waters
Sith the exception of the portion already taken up,
this township offers very little inéueement for settle-
mente ‘the fires have done considerable damage to
the soil and little of the country is suiteble in its
present state for even grasing purposes.
