FATHER POULET WITH PREMIER BENNETT CASSIAR AIR STRIP The air strip, as some may be aware was largely built by volunt~ eer labour. This was a worthwhile project of great benefit to the community as it can be used to fly seriously ill people out to hos- pitals should the emergency arise. The air strip is used by visit- ors, servicemen and salesmen that fly in along with our own residents who own planes. However, we have a problem. Twice now someone in a car goes onto the strip spins in fast circles and tears up the surface. During the first -pisode the car upset and we understand a young lady was injured seriously enough to be still in hospital. It would be better that trucks and motorcycles stay runway and leave it for its ed use, for airplanes only. cars, off the intend- G. Edwards.
