GIRL GUIDE NEWS In the school gym, on Saturday May 8th, the Annual lst Cassiar Guide Company Miss Cookie Contest was held. The contest was a talent and fashion competition between several of the Girl Guides to det- ermine who would hold the title "Miss Cookie 1971", Under the guidance and narra- tive of Lieutenant Sandy Crawforc the girls gave a very entertaining programme. This was enjoyed by everyone who attended the tea and bake sale sponsored and convened by the Mother's Association. The Girl Guides also sold aprons which they had made during the guiding year. Miss Jutta Voss was chosen as "Miss Cookie 1971" by the judges P, Witwicki, D. Keefe, A. Cafferty. Jutta was presented with a bouquet of spring flowers. A special thanks goes to Mrs. M. Nitti for training the girls for the fashion show, Mrs. Kamalah for the music and also to the judges.
