She brings to the stage all the power and feeling of this timeless traditional art. Her television appearances are too many to list, but among them are the Mike Douglas Show and C.B.C.'s Tommy Hunter Show. Miss Moreno was awarded the Bronze Plaque of Merit by the Spanish Government "for her work in promoting the true spirit of Spanish dance". The Paula Moreno Spanish Dance Company will appear in CASSTAR on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1975 as part of the 1975-76 Overture Concerts season. The concert will take place in the COMMUNITY CENTER, This exciting dance company, under the direction of Paula Moreno, performs a large and varied repertoire ranging from Spanish classical dance and regional folk styles to the dramatic flamenco of Audalucia. ~ Touring with the company as soloist, accompanist and musical director is the renowned classical-—flamenco guitarist David Phillips. Mr. Phillips has composed and performed music for films and for radio and television drama and commercials. His other activities include appearances with Spanish dance companies in Spain, the United States and Canada, solo performances and as guest artist with various orchestras.
