Due to such a good turnout with the Fl-
oor Hockey, the following schedule ch-
ange has been made for the Cassiar Com-
munity Club sponsored school gym activ-
ities.

ARENA HAPPENINGS....

The Centennial Arena is being prepared
for ice.We are looking forward to an
enjoyable season of entertaining hock-
ey. There has been an interest expres-
sed from Watson Lake and Dease Lake to
participate in our Senior Hockey League

Urgently needed are coaches, refer-
ees and persons willing to organize Mi-
nor Hockey. With a little time spent
it is rewarding to watch youngsters le-
arn and participate in this sport. By
the way, ice hockey isn't just for the
guys!!!

A Canadian Amatuer Hockey Associa-
tion Referee Clinic was held by Jack
Harley at the Cassiar School on Oct.

28 and Nov. 2.

On behalf of the Community Club I wou-
ld like to extend their appreciation to
Mr. J. Damant for his excellent and ve-
ry entertaining performance of hypnosis
Truly a night out of this world! We
hope to see his return soon!

CURLING CLUB

First General meeting was held on
September 27, 1976. There was an el-

Dues may be paid to Anne Guarducci
at 203 Smith St., or at the Training
Center, or to Wayne Mazell at 375 Mc-
Dame St. or the Mill Lab.

When dues are paid, please give yo-
ur name, box number and telephone no.
where possible. The club requires yo-
ur address so we can send out receipts
membership cards and operating instru-
ctions for the lift. This year there
will be plastic membership cards that
are to be attached to your jacket wh-
en skiing. This is necessary to help
cut down on the number of free-load-
ers we have.

The ski club is also asking for ev-
eryone's cooperation in keeping dogs,
tobaggons, snowmobiles and cross-coun-
try skiers off the hill due to the ex-
tra hazards they create.

This year there will be only three
Yukon Cup Ski Races:

Whitehorse....Feb 19-20

Watson Lake...Mar.12-43

Cassia noes Mar 19-20

All skiers are invited to enter th-
ese races no matter how good or bad
a skier you are. The main purpose of
the races is to have some fin.
