Moxy Fruvous

Yes! Yes! Yes! I loved this
concert to the extreme!! [admit
that I am really not a very good
critic, as I seem to like just about
every concert I go to, but I really
have to say that the Moxy
Fruvous concert that was at the
Overdrive last Monday was just
really good! The band was fun
and clever and full of energy, by
the end of the set,(and the two
encores), the audience was
exhausted, as was the band. I
had heard Moxy Fruvous before
I saw the show, but let me just
say that their CD’s really cannot
do this band from Toronto
justice. No worries to anyone
that did not catch the show; we
gave them such a good response
that they will probably be back
in P.G., and hopefully soon! A
little bit of info on the band:
they, at one time, were a punk
band,(or a least Jean was in a
punk band), which is a far cry

- from the music they play now,
which is really hard to describe,
because they seem to be in a
category of their own. And what
a good category it is!!

Were you anywhere near the \
Agora on Saturday night? It was
“Stress Relief” night at UNBC!
The preparations started early on.
There were many Staff people
setting up equipment and getting
all the details done before things
started. People didn’t show up
right away, I suppose they were
getting “juiced up” and dressing
for a night of relaxation. I was
dancing up a storm in the
Wintergarden and watching the
videos from there, as well as
serving with other Wintergarden
staff, the people who just didn’t
get enough “Juice” and, of course,
those Nacho chips!! But what is a
buck fifty extra for a night of fun!
Things picked up really fast and
the place was dancing. Everyone
was having a great time.

Unfortunately, the dance finished
a little earlier than expected
because of a few people who
became “violently enhanced” and
everyone had to leave. The staff
stayed afterwards and cleaned up.
Great job guys! Overall, it was a
really good evening! ~
