Tables and chairs were set up in a club like fashion in front of the small stage. Almost all the seats were filled when the show started at a little after 8. After a brief intro Simon B. Cotter took the stage. Fresh off a European tour, Cotter was more than willing to share his observations of cultural differences. During the show one audience member dis- covered to “sit in the front at a comedy show and make a noise” is as good as asking to be mocked. The comedian proceeded to thorough- ly embarrass the rather inebriated student, to the amusement of the audience. Cotter also offered relationship advice to both men and women, along with the woes of marriage. Adapting for the northern location Cotter complimented the school, and revealed his fear of bears. The performer traveled in circles, often coming back to the same basic topics, but with a different joke, he took the act in a differ- ent direction. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening, much thanks to Simon B. Cotter. Also a big thanks to NUGSS, and a big sorry-you- missed-it to those who passed up the opportu- nity. | hope we all get the chance to see this talented comedian again.
