Everyone braved the cool weather showing up for their games and partaking in the well earned chili lunch compliments of your friendly Intramural program. The winners Who’s Where “The Pit Page” went on to play the CNC intramu- ral champions on October 23rd. The final score of that game was 6-2 for UNBC. Way to go UNBC! The following week a coed volleyball tournament will be held at the CNC gym on Sunday, November 26th. Sign up your team or individually at “The Pit”. Health Tips According to a recent article in “Muscle & Fitness” Magazine, in order to maximize the benefits when icing injuries, ice should re- main on the injury for 25 minutes. Icing involves placing ice or snow in a plastic bag, wrapping the bag in a cloth and applying the cooled surface of the cloth to the injured area. Ice should not be applied directly to the injured areas as skin damage may occur. Early Registration for Next Semester Plans for next semesters leagues and tournaments are already un- derway. Watch for early registra- tion during the first week of De- cember when you can sign up in- dividually or by the team. Asa hint it may be wise to catch a few games during the drop-in times posted at the Fitness Centre and spot those ringers for your teams. ‘Next semester we are looking to offer men’s and women’s floor hockey, volleyball, walleyball, squash, ping pong, and European handball.
