APLENE BOPRSATO:

Miss Arlene Borsato was the guest of honour at a
surprise (we hope) farewell party on Saturday,
May 23rd at the Ladter Staffhouse.

Arlene's present plans are to head to Toronto,
look around and perhaps settle close by. She'll
probably get a glamourous job and live it up----
she mav even work a hit:

Many of her co-workers were present along with
lots of her friends and enjoyed a very entertaining
evening. Arlene may not have rings on her fingers
and bells on her toes but, we know'she'll have
music wherever she goes’. “r. Charlie Gander presente
her with a combination tape plaver, recorder and
radio, on behalf of Cassiar Asbestos Corporation and
her many friends. A blank tape was provided, on
which everyone had a chance to make a personal
comment or wish to her---,however Arlene wouldn't
play the tape back to anvone so - who is the culprit
who whispered sweet nothings into the tape so we
others couldn't get to hear it???

Arlene thanked everyone for the party and gift and
stated "I'll prohably be back again soon". WE all
hope to see vou again Arlene and wish you all the
best.

The Sketching and Painting Club has been meeting
regularly each Yondav at 7.90 p.m. in the School.
During July and August, however, there will he no
indoor sessions. This is a'non - structured’ group
with help offered on an individual basis onlv.

The School has been a good place to meet hecause
it is well lighted and away from the home or bunk
house pressures.

All would-be artists are welcome.
