This booklet has been prepared in order to assist you
in settling down to your work at Cassiar and also to pro-
tect you and your fellow employees from accidents.

Most accidents are preventable—a hazard may be en-
tirely removed, a guard may be placed, protective clothing
may be used or a safe job procedure may be devised.

Be careful in all your work and do not tolerate a fel-
low workman breaking safety rules.

Remember! Safety is our business—yours and mine.
Therefore read this book carefully, sign the statement on
the last page and return the signed form to your Super-
visor within fourteen days of your starting.

Suggestions from workmen for the promotion of Safety
will be welcome.

KEEP THIS BOOK, REFER TO IT OFTEN, OBEY ITS
INSTRUCTIONS AND MAKE THE MINE AND PLANT
SAFER FOR EVERYONE CONCERNED.
