Page 7 On Saturday, December 13th, the Cassiar Drama Club sponsored a Fashion Show by Engra-Hill Fashions of Watson Lake. The evening was a great success and an appreciative audience generously sprinkled with discerning males enjoyed watching the very latest fashions being displayed. The emphasis this year is definately softly feminine, very popular were capes in day and evening wear. Bodices were either draped or softly gathered, skirts full and long. It seems that knees are out! Predominating colours were vibrant oranges, muted mauves, greens, beiges and lots and lots of vanilla. The good old basic black dress seems to have made a comeback after hovering in the wings for a couple of years. A highlight of the evening was a. Parka designed and made by Eve Rattray. Mrs. Rattray, George Zimich, Bert McLeod and Laurie Fitzsimmons had displays of their varying merchandise - dispelling the notion of limited shopping in Cassiar. The fashions were charmingly displayed by our own girls, Kirsten Schmidt, Candy Stodart, Diana Harrision, Sheri Sethan, Anna Guarducci, Rose Ebbinghoff. Denise Borsato, Christel Daum-and Marvel Nitti. The lovely hair styles were created by Colleen Hewett, Cassiar is very fortunate to have such a talented hairstylist. Our thanks to the many people who helped to make the evening such a success - we are particularly indebted to Frank McLean and Margaret Metcalfe, and to everyone who helped in anyway, thank you.
