PIT PAGE In The Snow The Fitness Center has dusted off the cross country skis, boots and poles just in time for the snow to fail. You can rent these by the day, weekend. Come by the PIT and make sure we have your size. The Intramural Scene So far, we have 400 people registered in the intramural programs this fall. There are 20 men’s floor hockey teams, 10 coed volleyball, 5 walleyball teams and 2 handball teams. We are looking forward to some exciting action. A reminder to all of the teams and their members is to always check the intramurals board. Updated information will be posted daily,.as well as the team schedules. . The intramurals offered this semester are the following: men’s and women’s floor hockey, coed volleyball, team handball, walleyball, squash ladder, racquetball ladder and ping pong ladder. i Suggestions If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to come to the PIT and talk to anyone there or leave a note in the suggestions box. We are always looking for ways to improve our programs and services. Volunteers Anyone looking for volunteer hours or would like to get involved with the fitness centre, should come to the PIT and sign up. We are actively looking for dedicated people to help us out with the intramural special events. Depending on the number of hours you work, you may be eligible for free equipment for a 1 month period or for the whole semester. The equipment rentals include racquets, balls, eye protectors and ski packages. It is a great opportunity to build up you resume and then get out on the courts and play. Recreation Classes Many of the recreation classes are starting this week. Although the registration is closed for many of the classes, registration is still being accepted for: Vegetarian Cooking Women’s Self-Defense Lifesaver First Aid Bicycle Maintenance Cross Country Skiing Wilderness First Aid Yoga - Food Safe Get involved!!! Fitness Centre Starting 27 January we are extending our weekend hours for the rest of the semester. We will now be open until 10:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
