1. Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Happy Hooker
by Debbie Stoller (Workman Publish-
ing Company, 2006). Stitch ‘n Bitch
goddess Debbie Stoller is back with the
third instalment of the hugely successful ,
Stitch‘n Bitch empire. Her claim to fame
may be teaching a generation to knit,
but if you can knit, why not learn how
to crochet? (It's easier!) The instructions
are somewhat geared towards knitters
taking the plunge, but the instructions
are easy enough for a yarn virgin to fol-
low. Complete with enough patterns to
keep you crocheting through you lowest
moments of procrastination.

2. Craftster.org. Craftster puts to
practice its motto of “No tea cosies with-
out irony. A community of fun, fearless
crafters show off their projects, offer tu-
torials, and can help when you get stuck
on some weird pattern. Craftster covers
all forms of craft, from stencilling to
knitting to beadwork to party-planning.
