The congregation of All Saints Church celebrated November Ist, the day of their Patron Saints with an annual congregational dinner. 120 people attended and afterwards they were entertained with slides of the British Isles shown by Mr. Art. McAndrew, and wiews and wild flowers of Cassiar and district show by Mr. Geoff Parker. The rummage sale given by the Catholic Womens League was a big success. There were lots of household items for sale, as well as clothes for young and old, and the C.W.L. wish to thank all who brought and all who bought. Sete os ad Mr. Bill Dallin of Vancouver will be showing films on ski-ing at 5.30 p.m. on Friday November 19th, in the Commnity Centre. Mr. Dallin is a sxi-+ instructor, and will probably have lots , of good tips to pass on to all ski-ing enthusiasts. : PMT EITM ET IE RRR NTE NAPPY Te LL OPN Seer eae at ae FAREWELL, Mr..& Mra, Jack Berry left Cassiar on wednesday 10th of November to take up residence in Toronto, and for Mr. Berry to take up his position in the Toronto office, ami it has been made very evident in the past weeke that they will be greatly missed in the comunity. At a card evening given by Mrs. Beguin, | Mre. Berry received a set of gold nugget spoons with the goad wishes of all the ladies present. On Friday November 5th, Mr. A. Beguin was host at a farewell cocktail party held in the Directors Lodge. He presented Mr. & Mrs. Berry with pieces of luggage and on behalf of everyone present wished them every success. When replying Mr. & Mrs. Berry thanked everyone for their kind wishes and : reminisced about some of the interesting and amising things which had happened to them during their stay in Cassiar. At the close of the morning services on the following Sunday in All Saints Church the rector, Mr. BE. Foster gave a short address »o & Mra, Berry for their ona eds aarkel aspects of church work, he then called upon Mr. R. Hewett to make a presentation to them in recognition of their services. Mr. Be taretand tists than cat ie cite | then gave a very moving rendition of "Whispering Hope." At the end of the schoo} term, when Mr. Berry terminated his position,( which he had held for over nine years) as Offical Trustee to the Cassiar School Diatrict, Mr. A. McAndrew, presented him with a leather desk set, as a token of appreciation from his staff and himself. In these, and in many other spheres of community life we shall miss seeing them, and our good wishes go with them for a happy life in their new home. p=) Saat ALL SAINTS WA.
