Instead of our usual “‘belated’’ good wishes to newlyweds, the staff of the Asbestos Sheet would like to extend pre-nuptial congratula- tions to MIKE LANE and MISS DIANE FUJII, whose wedding will take place in Kamloops on April 27th. Best Wishes for the future. tttttttttt DEPARTURE Pam and Norm Kipnis have left Cassiar for St. John’s , Newfoundland, where Norm will be Chief Inspector of Mines for the province. All of their many friends sincerely wish them a safe journey and a happy life in the East. On the 13th of March many of their friends gathered with them in House 130 to reminisce about Pam's efforts with the summer play- ground and about how good her coffee was after the hockey games. And Norman’s untiring efforts on behalf of the arena were remembered and will be remembered as long as the building remains. This was a family of which any community could be proud. tttttttttt Latest word on DON HORRIGAN, who was injured in an accident at the mine on March 19th, is that he is recovering nicely and doctors expect he will be discharged in a few weeks. We are sure this will be good news to Don’s many friends in Cassiar. tttttttttt The photos to the right were taken during the bonspeil March 14th — 17th, in the “Snake Pit’’. Recognize anyone?????
