Best wishes for the future. eee RH HH H Anne Watt’s many friends in Cassiar may be interested to know that she is now in Viet Nam, working for the Save The Children Association. Our last news of her was from Bangkok where she was staying overnight before travelling on to a hospital in Qui Nhon, 250 miles northeast of Saigon, where she will care for fifty war-wounded and displaced children. In the heat of Bangkok, Anne advises that she was thinking nostalgically of Cassiar’s cool snow. We wish Anne the best of luck in her new post. He Ree HH HH FAREWELLS have been said to many residents of Cassiar lately, such as: MIKE and BERNIE CLARK, and family, who have gone to Alice Arm where Mike will be working for B.C. Molybdenum. MIKE and LORRAINE LATKA, and family, who have moved to Clinton. Mike will be in the Mill Department there. RALPH and ILSE HOFFMAN, who also have departed for Clinton, where Ralph will be Electrical Supervisor and IIse will join the Laboratory staff. Grant has come to Cassiar from Manitoba. ee Ree HH COMMENTS ON THE WEATHER For general interest, our first snowfall occurrec\- on October 1st but it did not stay.....thank goodness! It began to fall in earnest on October 4th, however, and has continued intermittently since then. Total snowfall to date is 16.3 inches approximately. Maximum temperature during October was +44 on the 9th. Minimum temperature during October was +10 on the 23rd. eee HHH NOTICE There will be a Remembrance Day parade held on November 11th. Poppies will be on sale during the week of November 6th to 11th.
