8. No person shall put into motion any equipment until 10. he has ascertained by observation or other means that all other persons are beyond danger. Whenever burning or welding is to be done, suitable fire fighting equipment shall be immediately available. All vehicles must drive on the left hand side of the road in the mine area and on the road connecting the plantsite area with the mine area. Underground muck piles must be “wetted down” be- fore being loaded out. Every employee shall report dangerous operating con- ditions, dangerous practices, and defective equipment to his supervisor. All employees shall wear suitable eye protection as posted in various departments. Rules and Regulations Concerning Motor Vehicle Traffic Upon the Roads Situate Upon the Property of Cassiar Asbestos Corporation Limited In and About Cassiar, B.C. 1. Definitions: “Company” means Cassiar Asbestos Corporation Limited; “Connell Drive” means the road in the Company’s property at Cassiar, B.C., so marked by signs; “Manhaul vehicle” means any vehicle used for the transport of men from one place to another; “Mine-mill road” means the road leading from the mine pit area to Connell Drive; “Mine pit area” includes any area in which mining operations of the Company are being conducted; “Motor vehicle” shall include automobiles, busses, motor trucks, bulldozers, and any self-propelled vehicles operated on wheels or tracks; “Private driveway” means any driveway designed to accommodate the passage of a motor vehicle from a road into a home site or into part of the plant or under- taking of the Company, notwithstanding that such driveway is owned by the Company; 26
