Two very important events in the life of the school were Reception and Confirmation
by which a number of students became members of the Church of England and the United
Church of Canada. Impressive services, long to be remembered, were held.

His Grace Archbishop De Pencier delivered the address in St. John’s and the Rev. S. S.
Osterhout, Ph.D., addressed a class at Coqualeetza. The photograph shows the class of 25
boys iand 18 girls who were admitted into fellowship of the United Church of Canada,

June 17th, 1934. Taking part in the service were Dr. J. White, Rev. S. Cook, Dr. Osterhout
and the Principal.
