In the case of J14, however, the similarity is much less, and its analysis would almost exclude the possibility of its being correlated with M2. Unfortunately no samples were taken Ger diSe Bi Aes pees: “Tn eases where a seam is visible over a considerable distance, the thicknesses of the individual benches of coal and shale are variable, the shale sandstone partings in the seams being frequently of a lenticular nature, increasing within a distance of a few feet from 1 inch to over 1 foot in thickness, and diminishing again as rapidly.
