_ A copious saline spring bubbles up 100 feet from the west bank of Athabaska
river, 2 miles above the mouth of Redclay creek, and feeds a considerable stream.
Large quantities of sulphuretted hydrogen gas are given off.2 An analysis of
a sample of the water collected by Mr. McConnell gave the following results:
