Ebbinghoff 4 Marvel Nitti hostessed a lovely evening of entertainment at*her home on October 24, in honor of Janine Murdoch's return to Cassiar. There was a large group of ladies present, some whom Janine knew from her previous stay in Cassiar, but there were also many new faces in the crowd and new acquain- tances were made, Marvel and Gina Duri outdid themselves with a lovely buffet lunch and Frank presided over the punch bowl. Tea and coffee were served at the close of the evening. I am sure all present enjoyed themselves and we hope Jim, Janine and family are glad to be back again..... Welcome!!! By and by - could that scrumptious punch have had anything to do with the -- Mexican Hot Dog - Horses and Green monsters I hears mentioned...???? FEAEEFEFEFE FEF FEAFEE PEPE E+ Talent Show A very successful talent show sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes Church Committee was held at the Commmity Centre on October 27, 1973. A large, enthusiastic crowd was in attendance, and the performers did a wonderful job of keeping the crowd enter- tained. Little Dale Pete almost brought the house down in the first half with his star performance of "Never Ending Love". Young and old alike did their very best in all cases and the show could have gone on for another hour with "encores" alone. Two draws were made during intermission - the door prize of a $10.00 gift certifi- cate donated by Edmar Sales was won by Lawrence Bartell and the raffle prize - a $25.00 gift certificate donated by Edmar Sales was won by Josette Gunst. The evening was a great success and the Church Committee would like, at this time to thank all the performers for a job well done, Edmar Sales for their donations, the Lion's Club, and everyone else who donated and/or helped in any way at all - the list of helpers is a long one but we hope those concerned realize we couldn't have had a good show without them. Thank you everyone for your support:
