A training centre has been recently constructed from which in- struction is given to trade or craft personnel and equipment operators. TOWNSITE Homes for about 150 families and bunkhouse accommodation for some 300 men are available in the townsite. A subsidized employee construction program has resulted in the building of 50 privately owned homes and a serviced site accommodates 30 trailers. Service in the community includes a cafeteria for single status employees, company groceteria and dry goods store, licensed lounge, snack bar, laundry, branch of the Royal Bank of Canada and a R.C.M.P. Detachment. Religious services are provided in Roman Catholic and Anglican churches. A modern 6 bed hospital is staffed with a resident doctor and nurses. Students from grade one to ten are accommodated in an up to date seven room school. Senior high school students receive assistance for accredited schooling elsewhere. RECREATION A two sheet curling rink, skating arena, swimming pool, tennis courts, gun range, ski tow and community centre provide recreation facilities. The community centre consists of a library, various club rooms and a main auditorium, for sports, movies and large social functions. Various lakes and rivers, a few miles from the townsite and easily accessible by road, provide unsurpassed natural facilities for the hunter, fisherman, boatman, photographer or camper. A park with a resort lake provides unexcelled scenery and summer relaxation.
