She is a long time resi- dent of Red Rock, and has always lived in rural areas. She loves to live close to nature and holds it as the inspiration for her work. The illustration for the cover was done while Neault was work- ing on a series of wildlife portraits, and what drew her to the picture “was the intensity of the eyes.” She is primary interested in what she calls ‘nature art’; art that explores the themes of wildlife and the outdoors. She has no for- mal training as an artist, but began her career 10 years ago when she began to take art classes at the artist's co-op and at the Island Mountain art studio in Wells. She also does a lot of reading about art, and often tells people that the Prince George Public library has a wonderful art section. Neault’s story is one of great successes. While she has no fermal education, she has followed her philosophy of “doing what you love and having a passion for it.” This has surely lead to good things for her, as she in now employed as Speedy Printer’s art advisor. Neault’s art is for sale and can be purchased when it is on display at local art shows, and in February Neault will be teaching a clay- board art class at the artist’s co-op.
