The School Christmas Concert was held on December 18th in the School Gym. Almost all pupils participated in the program which consisted mainly of musical selections rendered by the Senior Class, interspersed with recitations, carol speaking and rhythm band presentations by the Junior pupils. The audience of 200 was most appreciative of the pupils’ efforts and recognized the progress that was being made in the development of the pupils’ talents. A thank you is given to the teachers who worked so hard with the pupils to make the concert such an enjoyable success. Art McAndrew eee eH HH HH Miss Anne Watts, former Cassiar nurse has been in contact with friends here. Anne wishes to remember and be remembered to her many friends and acquaintances whom she isn't in contact with personally. She is now back home in England after several months in Viet Nam where she nursed sick and injured children. Anne is thinking of return- ing to Canada and we are sure she will be in touch with Cassiarites again. * ee HHH HHH HE Frank Clarke, 15 year veteran of Cassiar, has retired. Frank divided his services in Cassiar between shifting for the mine department and working for the personnel department. He is missed by all departments, especially the female contingent, as Frank is well remembered for his generosity and friendly nature. Frank hasn‘t moved far. After spending Christ- mas and a few weeks vacation down East, he will return north to his home in Porter Creek, Whitehorse, where he is sure to be frequently visited by his many friends in the district. During his last couple weeks in Cassiar, Frank was the recipient of many dinners, parties and gifts. Here are some pictures from one of the parties. There he is, in the midst of lots of lovely ladies, which is just how he likes it! were © 1 ie) SP tarplwon onnidh 4 1%
