21 Road from Pouce Coupe to the soldier settlement on the west- erly side of the Kiskatinaw river. The road from Pouce Coupe to the Kiskatinaw river or to the “Cutbank" as it is known locally, serves Dawson Creek post office and the westerly part of the Pouce Coupe settlement. It also provides the soldier settlers on the westerly side of the Kiskatinaw river with a means of outlet. This road branches from the main Pouce Coupe - Kolla road about half a mile north of the former mentioned place, and follows along section lines to the Kiskatinaw. ‘the road through the prairie parts, that is westerly to near the centre of range 16, the edge of the timbered lands, is in excellent econdit- ion. The trail westerly from this point in addition to being in timbered land, goes over the divide between the Pouce Coupe and Kiskatinaw rivers. The road here has been cut out one chain wide but the stumps have not been removed. This part is rough at all times and in wet weather on account of the clayey soil becomes very heavy. A very good briage was eonstructed over the Kiskatinaw river, in the winter of 1920-21, in section 10-78-17. Erom the bridge the trail on the west side of the river which serves the soldier settlement, angles eross country in a northwesterly direction and is gener- ally in poor condition. Another trail leaves this route in section 22-78-18 and leads in a westerly direction to Pine river and Moberly lake. ‘This trail, although cut out for wagons is generally in poor condition and better suited for travelling with pack horse.
