The Cassiar Asbestos Corp. is Se reviewing the proposed constitutional changes and will be i replying shortly to the Community Club as to its stance ant on this matter. me, Pas ate Hockey section « | at On the first weekend in April the Senior Hockey Club ‘%é attended. a tournament in Terrace and played fine hockey. aut In their first game against Stewart the Club in a tight match defeated Stewart with a 2-1 score. Goaltending was superb on the part of Jan MacDonald and the score could have been higher if our boys. had not have had a 16 hour bus ride the night before. In the second match against Prince Rupert. the Clubs played fast action open hockey and unfortunately lost by a good goal placed effectively by Prince Rupert taking them to Victory with a 1-0 score. In the third game Cassiar played Terrace and were out played by a much superior team which took them to defeat as handily by a score of 12-0. ‘ The highlight of the trip definitely was the Chinese Smorgasboard on Sunday night. The Curling Club in all of their splendor and expertise were also burdened with a bit of bad luck as they became only co-champions of the tournament. Under the Capable direction of Don Baycroft and — Fred Cousins both teams attempted to pull the wool over the umpires eyes but had no success? The game ended in aiZe2 Gre. Teams from the Ski Club, Quartz Creek and Diet Club all put up a strong bid for a crack at the defending : Champion the Rod § Gun Club.
