Voss land family of four, two boys and twe girls. Mre.& Mrs.Voas have lived in Canada for many years but still observe some of the old country sustoms of Germany in the celebrate jon of Christmas. After a light mesl on Christmas Eve family gifts were exchanged and the ehildren also received a very solourful cardboard plate filled with cookies, chocolate figures and marripan. {All the family went to Midnight Mace ( ons of the girls whispered that she hac fallen asleep in chureh), They mist have 21} been very tired when they weny to bed fer not one of them heard Santa when he came to visit them. At the home of Mr. & Mrs. Woody and family, six girls and ane boy, they were just opening their gifts which had bsen left. under the tree, their custom is to leave some cookies and a drink for Santa | but this year they had forgotten to do so... They too hac been to Nass. From the oodys home ws called in to see Mr, « Mrs Cook.and fandly of four boys. Their Christmas Day had begun at 4.00 a.m. when the boys were already awake and anxious to see what had been left in their stockings which they had hung in the dining ; room. Later on in the morning they had been | to the family service where their eldest son had read a lessons When ws arrived they were gxchanging personal gifts and the boys were opening parcels at great speed, with Cinders, their new kitten, having a fine time chasing in and out of the paper ad ribbons; he left them to call in on Hr. & krs;} Ash and fauily of four, two boys and two girls. Mrs. Ash had just returned from the family service with the children. They had already opened their gifts and all looked very happy with what they had received. As they were just about to sit down to a meal we did not linger, however on taking our leave their small daughter came to us and isaid "You didn't wish me a .erry Christmas", an omission whieh we hastened to remedy, and then went on our wayo Vie would like to thank these. people
