AUTOMOBILE OWNERS’ MUTUAL SERVICE GUILD Is incorporated under British Columbia laws for the benefit of the Motor Vehicle owner in particular and the public in general. : The Motor Vehicle Owner has been a silent partner in a gigantic industry valued at many millions of dollars, yet minus an articulate voice in matters concerning his interests. This organization is then both welcome and timely. The Guild is a non-political non-sectarian society, owned and operated on a non-profit basis and is a combination “Safety, Fraternal, Motor Vehicle Owner, and Tourist Pro- motion Society and functioning as ONE BIG ORGAN- IZATION.” AS A SAFETY SOCIETY THEY Promote, encourage and foster, ‘‘Sofer and More Courteous Driving and Handling of Motor Vehicles.”’ They co-operate with Municipal, Provincial and Federal authorities in the observance of Highway Acts, rules and regulations for the safety of motorists and pedestrians and may assist or absorb other organizations having the same or similar objects. AS A FRATERNAL SOCIETY AND AS A REWARD DUE OBSERVANCE OF SAFETY RULES BY THE MEMBERS, They grant relief to their members and dependents against the unavoidable misfortune arising from the use, operation, or enjoyment of motor vehicles. They have striven to have Provincial Gasoline Taxes and Motor Vehicle Licence Fees reduced to a minimum, and used exclusively for Highway improvements and extension of same. They propose the establishment of Information Bureaus at strategic points to attract tourists to British Columbia. A strong and vigorous membership would assure British Colum- bia of a larger share of the beneficence of and share of the “Tourist Business’? and its *‘Rightful Place in the Sun.”’ AS A MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERS’ SOCIETY They furnish the following Services and Benefits: 1. Up to $200 in the aggregate for injuries to members, their families, or guests, for Hospital, Doctor, Nursing and Ambulance Service when such injuries arise from the use, occupation or enjoyment of Motor Vehicles when driven by a member or someone designated by such member, or driven with their permission. 2. A minimum of $25 and a maximum of $100 is granted by the Guild for collision damage to members’ vehicles when driven by a member or someone designated by such mem- ber, or driven with their permission. 3. Guild furnishes FREE Towing and Highway Service, Ad- visory Legal Service when required and resulting from the use, operation or enjoyment of such motor vehicle. Fur- nish information to its members relative to low cost Insurance, Finance Fees, and Charges. Provide other worthwhile service as if and when deemed opportune and desirable. AS A TOURIST PROMOTION BUREAU IT MAY 1. Press for adjustments of Ferry Rates between Vancouver Island and the Mainland. Adjustment of freight retes on motor vehicles shipped by rail from Eastern Canada. 3. Improvement of sting and extension of highways; to open up and make accessible such points af interest and preservation of Natural and Scenic Attractions as shall be of interest and benefit to motorist and tourist.
