Schools and businesses empty and towns- veople gather on the river bank to watch the show, and to find out who was the lucky winner of the "ice pool". This marks the official arrival of spring in the Yukon. With a little co-operation from Nature the Yukon Breakup Drama Festival could be a real spectacular. HOUSEWORK Cathy tells us housework is one thing there is no catching up with. You go to bed at night with everything done, but while you are sleeping, the sheets are getting wrinkled, dust is settling and stomachs are getting empty.. AS WE SEE IT - If anything can go wrong it will. - Nothing is as simple as it seems. - Everything always costs more money. than you have. - If you fool around with a thing long enough, it will eventually break. — _7_If you try to please everybody, somebody is not going to like it. - It is fundamental law of nature that nothing ever works out. . - It is easier to get into a thing than to get out of it. - If you explain something so clearly that no one can misunderstand, someone will. - Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else. Aurora Radio Club What is react all about? React: means Radio Emergency Action Com- > munications Team, which in other words, is a group of people who have their vehicles and homes equipped with radios, who have joined together as a team to help others. Such a group has recently been formed in Cassiar.. This is called the Aurora Radio Service Club. As it said over the radio one evening, "We all live under the same sky, and the same stars. The moon and the sun shine on all of us. We all walk the same earth, but in different ways. Why shouldn't we be equal?" The ARSC will be available for commmi- cations and: emergency use day and night. We hope to have base stations in Good Hope Lake and in \Dease Lake, and a 24 hour emergency unit will soon be ready for Cassiar. We need a sufficient membership to provide an adequate emergency service to the commmity. If you are interested in having a CB radio and in being of service to your community, please contact any of the people below for more information.
