and thus the native hue of resolution

is sicklied over with the pale cast of thought
and enterprises of great pitch and moment
with this regard their current turn awry

and lose the name of action]

For all my unremembered sins | die

to breathe at the last | loose a sigh

to forget the crisis that forced the moment
to its head—and thus was important

Forgive us this day our daily bread
for dark desire that dwells well fed
the smallest wish carts with it a sin
even if no action performs it again.

Without it though! What would life be

but a glossy sheet desired writing

no emotion transmitted through the touch
of a glowing girl you want too much.

The wisest are ihe ones who know

that through good deeds dead sins go
so without Sin would any good be made
sitting as statues that slowly decay.

The Creek

Baker Creek floods
naked roots
of stick-men trees,
and skull-smooth boulders
left by the Great
Deluge.

It gushes through
gorges, into gravity’s apathy,
hauling muck,
as spinning fists attack
the girls’ playhouse—
four years on a bed of
stones—
reducing it to amputated
timbers
and aborted shakes
(cedar).

Baker Creek mangles

our tulips,
swallows .5 acres of
topsoil,

and spreads like

Swine Flu

through
our

down; and it all ends.
The Signt is spent.

Fivolity. Such stupidity.
Based on what you feel

(you think). Ignorance blinds you.

Livel At least some few!
Or. .. Love, at least some few!

Instead. . .
Pass tie veil over your eyes.
Like the rest, believe the lies.
