Coaster Bike. @ee0coecece We are concerned with safety on the Company prop- erty and in the Townsite. A very great concern we have is in the safety of the children. The snow removal crew is back at work. Each student at Snowridge Elementary has received the following safety bulletin to bring home. As well, the snow crew will have an information session at the school, to show the pupils the equipment and to remind them of the hazards. Dear Parents: Winter is upon us again, and we must face the heavy snow load on our streets as a problem that must be re- moved to enable us to move around our community as comfortably and as safely as possible. This means that our snow removal equipment, grader, loader and haulage trucks will be working on the streets after and during every snowfall until the winter is over. This is to remind you to instruct your children to stay clear of snow removal equipment, and to set an ex- ample for all the children in the community by walking or driving on streets that are not marked for snow removal, and constantly remind your children of the hazards of walking or playing near snow removal equipment. This is an urgent and sincere message, and we ask that you co-operate fully with us in order that equipment op- erators can perform their duties with a minimum worry about the safety of your loved ones. An accident involving a child and snow removal equipment would have disasterous results. Do all you can to prevent this from happening. You may be saving your- self a great deal of heartache. A. Borsato, Safety Supervisor As well, the store has ordered reflective tape that can be sewn onto clothing. The pupils will be able to buy this tape at $1 per foot at the Snowridge School Store. During these dark months the wearing of some reflec- tive tape on children’s snowsuits could make the differ- ence between being seen or not. We in the Safety Department wish you all a Merry Christmas. May it be a Happy and Safe Holiday for you and your loved ones. ; ie Joseph Boguski from the Mine was the 4th line winner.
